Holbein Artists’ Watercolors have been ubiquitous in Japan for over 70 years, and are now steadily gaining popularity with artists in all over the world. Japanese paints have always been famous for their brilliance, and Holbein is Japan’s leading representative of that tradition today.
Holbein watercolors are unique for not being made with ox-gall, animal byproducts, or other dispersing agents. As a result, these paints are slower moving, and have more color intensity and greater brush control than watercolors made by other manufacturers. They dry with almost no change in brightness and hue.
In addition to a range of pigments used in European art, Holbein’s collection also includes many unique and brilliant colors originating in the Japanese tradition, and not found in any Western watercolor line.
This order includes four 15ml tubes of the Holbein Artists' Watercolor color Opera (W213).
