This product is a Japanese Buddhist hanging scroll (mokei) that has the Sanskrit letter “A” and the mounting parts printed on one piece of fabric. You can enjoy hanging this scroll in any room, not only in a tokonoma or a Japanese-style room. Please choose a place where it is not exposed to direct sunlight or wind. The Sanskrit letter “A” symbolizes the principle of non-arising and non-ceasing. The letter “A” is the first letter of the alphabet, and it contains the whole universe within it. By meditating on the letter “A” in front of you, and becoming one with Dainichi Nyorai through the letter “A”, you practice the method called “Ajikan”. This scroll can be used for daily hanging, as well as for special occasions such as Higan and Obon, which are Buddhist holidays to honor one’s ancestors. The entire surface of the front is specially printed. Please do not touch any part except the scroll bar, the back, and the string. It comes in a special box. The size is as follows:
