This is a Japanese Buddhist bracelet made by Kyoto bead craftsmen using onyx. Onyx is said to ward off evil and confusion and give rationality and concentration. The skull is said to have the effect of warding off evil and misfortune as a charm. It comes in a convenient paulownia box.
