From Yamashiro, one of Kyoto’s leading suppliers of premium Uji-style teas, this “Morning Fog” Uji gyokuro tea is grown by Seiichi Yamaoka, a tea farmer in the south of Ujitawara Town, Tsuzuki District, Kyoto Prefecture, and features a refreshing, soothing aroma, elegant sweetness, and low bitterness.

Gyokuro is the highest grade of Japanese green tea, grown on special tea plantations and traditionally shaded with straw mats for the last 3-4 weeks before picking. This tea is best enjoyed in small sips, to allow the rich aroma, and gentle, subtle flavors to fill your palate.
