This wallet was made in collaboration with a local kimono accessories maker in Kamakura, Japan, and takes its inspiration from Buddhist iconography and traditional Japanese crafts. Each element of the wallet has its own symbolism, with the black color representing the negating of lust and worldly desires, and a wooden charm of a Buddha with hair grown long as a result of his long meditation on bringing humanity toward enlightenment. Despite or because of its purpose of holding money, this wallet is a symbol of our aim to transcend selfish possession and approach enlightenment.
