This wallet was made in collaboration with a local kimono accessories maker in Kamakura, Japan, and takes its inspiration from Buddhist iconography and traditional Japanese crafts. Each element of the wallet has its own symbolism, with the white color representing flowing water, which in Buddhism is said to have the merit of removing misfortune, and a wooden charm of a fish swimming smoothly though water. Despite or because of its purpose of holding money, this wallet is a symbol of our aim to transcend selfish possession and approach enlightenment.
