Featured in December 2020 on NHK TV’s nationally broadcast Good Morning Japan as a useful new Japanese invention, and a popular new educational toy for young children in the country with one of the highest international test score averages and IQ scores in the world.
This set includes the entire collection of Tsumiki IQ blocks, made of soft silicone rubber that naturally adheres together. Because the blocks do not use magnets, are soft, do not break if dropped, and are made from safety silicone rubber, they are safe for children of all ages (with proper adult supervision, as is the case with all toys). Adhesive strength between the blocks is easily restored after washing and wiping. If the blocks get dirty, just put them in a laundry net and wash them with lukewarm water.
These colorful and simple blocks do not use pictures or letters, and as a result offer a pure introduction to geometric shapes of all kinds, without unnecessary interference. The patented block shapes with diagonal cut surfaces help improve a child’s understanding of geometry, 3-dimentional pattern recognition and visualization, and ability to grasp and manipulate 3-dimentional objects with hand-eye coordination. This sort of learning will help set the stage for IQ-test-like exams given in elementary schools all over the world, and as a result this full set is an excellent gift for any son, daughter, niece, nephew, or grandchild.
