This attractive set of Samue clothing is used by real Zen Buddhist Japanese monks at temples all over Japan. Made using a “slab” method, which features uneven threads that result in a surface with a slightly rough texture, much better breathability for hot days, and that is softer to the touch than regular cotton fabric.
Although originally made for Zen Buddhist monks, samue clothing has become popular as regular, comfortable work clothing in Japan, and is no longer worn only or mostly by monks.
The 100% cotton fabric has a thin thickness meant for Spring and Summer Use.
