This attractive set of Samue clothing is used by real Zen Buddhist Japanese monks at temples all over Japan. With an orthodox yet contemporary feel, this denim-style cotton samue features a solid, thick, and reliable fabric, yet has a cotton-specific comfort that gently touches the body, and a subtle striped presence.

Although originally made for Zen Buddhist monks, samue clothing has become popular as regular, comfortable work clothing in Japan, and is no longer worn only or mostly by monks.

The 100% denim-style cotton fabric has a thick thickness meant for Autumn and Winter use.
