Sold by a well-known traditional Buddhist crafts shop in Koyasan (a sacred mountain and World Heritage site in Japan), this bell is used in Japanese Buddhist rituals. It has a three-pronged handle that symbolizes the three jewels of Buddhism: the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha. The bell produces a high-pitched and clear sound that is said to dispel evil and awaken wisdom. It can be used for chanting, prayer, cleansing or warding off evil. The item is about 10.5 cm in height and 4.2 cm in diameter, weighs 85g, is made of cast iron, and comes with a string that allows for easy carrying or hanging.
