This wallet was made in collaboration with a local kimono accessories maker in Kamakura, Japan, and takes its inspiration from Buddhist iconography and traditional Japanese crafts. Each element of the wallet has its own symbolism, with the blue color representing space in Japanese Buddhist iconography, and a wooden charm of a just-born Buddha pointing to the earth and sky. Despite or because of its purpose of holding money, this wallet is a symbol of our aim to transcend selfish possession and approach enlightenment.
